It’s now been 5 days since my surgery. It’s been an adventure, for sure. I am now 6 days away from CI activation and this wait is no fun. So many emotions roll through on a daily basis.
Was feeling pretty good yesterday and needed to get out of the house so went to Costco with Joe. Apparently, I wasn’t feeling “that good”. Came home and went straight to bed. Made a mental note that “getting out of the house” will mean walks to the end of the driveway and back for now.
But at the moment, my left ear currently feels sharp stabby pains (nerve/tissue healing) and the ever present popcorn popping sounds. Everything calms down for a bit and then starts over. Pain meds don’t really do much for this although Tylenol takes the edge off of the stabby pains.
But overall, I think the anticipation is worse than anything else. LOL
